Idelia's Story

The last two years have been kind of a nightmare for me, going through a difficult divorce and then having my baby daughter diagnosed with Non-verbal Autism made it even harder. Iā€™m here in Houston by myself. I do have some relatives...which have been kind of supportive, but they have their own lives. So, becoming part of Nabor House has meant a lot to me. It feels so heartwarming, it feels like family, it has been a blessing in different ways.

They [Nabor House staff] have been there for me in the most important way: Spiritually! Prayers are the most valuable support you can offer someone. Participating in the Bible study has also helped me grow. Praying for the other families helps me realize I might not have everything I need, but I am beyond blessed. Seeing my baby Camila smile, laugh, play and enjoy her time at the center means the world to me. Knowing she has had some difficulties socializing, but now seeing her get along with the teachers and her friends gives me hope. There is no way to say thank you, but to keep you all in my prayers. Thank you for all you do. Thank you for loving my baby. Thank you for your patience, your time, and your smiles. May God bless you in unexpected ways!
