Dalila Diaz — NHC Program Director

Dalila Diaz has a heart for people, especially children. Raised as a preacher’s kid in Cuba, Dalila began her calling at a young age. Mission trips to Brazil, Costa Rica, and Mexico fueled her passion to share the gospel and help those in need. Here in the U.S., she received her bachelor’s degree from Houston Baptist University in Psychology (Behavioral) and Theology and from there went on to teach 6th - 8th graders. She spent 4 years teaching children with disabilities and has been in the daycare field for 9 years. Dalila received her Director’s Certification from the National Administrators Credential Program and in 2017 received her Texas Director’s Accreditation. She was the Director of Nabor House Community - Long Point for 5 years. In her new role, Dalila is charged with developing curriculum, evangelism, chapel time, and day-to-day operations for both centers.

Dalila is married and has 3 very active boys. She and her husband are worship leaders at Western Pines Community Church where they love to worship Yahweh!

A favorite Scripture was hard to pin down and could include the entire book of Psalms. But Psalm 91:1,2 speaks to her heart…”Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Yazmin Forero — NHC Director — Long Point Location

Yazmin Forero hails from Columbia, South America. She grew up in Tulsa, OK where she graduated high school. As the director of Nabor House - Long Point, Yazmin combines her love for early childhood education with her generous spirit to create a home away from home for every child. Yazmin has woven a community where the hearts of children, parents, and staff are nurtured with love, care, and the heart of Jesus every day. Her transition from graphic design and advertising to educator has been a story of passion, faith, and dedication. It reflects her commitment to excellence and joy in life.

A mother of three wonderful children, a kitten mom, a lover of literature, an animal-protection advocate, and a diligent volunteer, Yazmin deeply understands the importance of a nurturing and supportive environment. Her devotion extends to her faith as an active member of Second Baptist Church. With God in her heart, Yazmin is a living testament to how faith, gratitude, and love can move mountains and transform lives.

Yazmin’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 4:2 - a beautiful verse that reminds us of the importance of kindness, patience, and love. ~ “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient bearing with one another in love.”

María Isabel — NHC Director — Memorial Location

María Isabel was born in Venezuela. She is warm, joyful, and loves to smile. Growing up, María learned that gratitude and service are essential parts of her identity - virtues instilled by her parents. She met Jesus when she was 10 years old and shortly afterward decided to dedicate her life to Him. Although she went through a spiritual desert in her youth, it led her to a deeper encounter with God. She firmly believes that God has great purposes for humanity, and she is no exception.

María Isabel holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and another in Management Processes. She worked for several years in personnel management. Her love for children began in her teenage years when she started teaching Sunday school, followed by volunteering in a ministry for abandoned children. Both positions deepened her passion for helping them. Although she developed her career in key accounts and sales, God moved her heart, and in 2024 she joined the Nabor House Community family. María is married, and although she does not have children of her own, God has blessed her with the joy of loving and caring for others’ children with whom she can share the love she has received.

The Bible verses that deeply resonate with her are Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged!” and Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Gia Forero — NHC Assistant Director — Memorial Location

Gia Forero is a devoted, loving, and compassionate servant of the Lord and a proud member of the Nabor House Community. Raised in Houston, Texas, Gia grew up attending Second Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ and continues to find strength and purpose in her faith.

At just 21 years old, her passion for child development and early childhood education permeates everything she does. Gia leads with a heart modeled after Jesus, believing that true leadership is rooted in humility and service. Inspired by Christ’s act of washing His apostles’ feet, she carries that same spirit of love and sacrifice into her work, always ready to step down and make sacrifices for the sake of others. Her journey is deeply intertwined with the families she serves, as she understands their struggles firsthand, having been raised by a single mother. This personal connection fuels her dedication to creating a loving, supportive environment for the children and families in her care.

Beyond providing care, Gia strives to be a beacon of hope, reminding families that they are never alone and that God’s love surrounds them. She believes strongly in the power of community and faith, and through her work, she seeks to embody the love and compassion that only Christ can give.

Gia’s favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 43:2: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” This verse holds a special place in her heart because it reminds her of God’s unwavering presence, even in the toughest moments. It speaks of God’s comfort and assurance that no matter what trials we face, the Lord is walking beside us.
